We believe in Love.
Simply put, we believe that God is love, that Jesus came to demonstrate that love, and you are loved – exactly as you are, without changing, believing, or behaving. Everything we do is to introduce you to this love, make it real, and teach you how to live inside the love to God.
What We Believe
Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
We believe that humanity was birthed from the love and joy of Trinity. We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Persons of the Trinity experience and share boundless joy, union, and love. God is necessarily loving.
We believe that the Bible is a collection of books of God’s dealings with humanity. Though it was written by humans, it is and was breathed into by God. As such, we can trust the Bible in all that it teaches and how it guides.
We believe that sin is a failure to love. We are all guilty of failing to love others, the world, ourselves and God completely. Thus, you and I – we’re all sinners. Since sin is a failure to love, sin is always a move away from God and against his Spirit. Every sin separates us from God, because God is love and sin is not.
We believe that the gap between humanity and God needed a power act of love to cover it. That was the death of Jesus Christ, who in perfect love took on our failures and crimes, so that we could be brought home to God. All that is required of us is to step into the current of forgiveness through faith.
We believe that we are saved by the Resurrection of Jesus. That his resurrection creates a new type of humanity who are being transformed into fearless creatures of love. Through the Resurrection, we are seeing our old selves freed from sins (like greed, pride, and envy) in order to practice and experience things like joy, shalom, and love.
We believe God created the Church to be the “love experts”*. We don’t always get it right, but that is why God put the church here. We are to be a powerful example and outworking of the love of God. The church is called to repair, heal, inspire, and restore the world to God’s original and perfect plan.
