This the 'how' to the 'why'
We use values a little differently than most churches. We love the Bible - we use it every day. We're centered on Jesus - can't seem to stop talking about him. And grace? It's our life blood. Most churches have these things in common. Those aren't the values we're talking about.
When we say 'values' we mean the non-negotiables about HOW we do ministry.
Our Values
Health
Have you ever seen a plant that needed water? Or one that had too little sun, maybe too much? Even the most green-thumb-challenged person can tell when a plant is healthy. But with people, it’s a lot harder. We believe that God wants you to have an exceptionally healthy soul. A soul that bursting with things like: joy, peace, compassion, love, gratitude, and all the good stuff the Spirit promises. At Resonate, we’re convinced that these all come from a healthy soul. We are committed to having a complete and healthy soul.
Humility
“Names nowhere, fingerprints everywhere,” is one of our mottos at Resonate. It means that we are big on impact and low on fame. In Psalm 37, we learn that humility is the gateway to shalom (a full and joyful life). It makes sense, people with big egos are often frustrated, flustered, hurried, and afraid. None of that sounds like the type of life we want to live. The only thing standing between you and a life of peace, love, and joy is your ego. Here at Resonate, we are devoted to pursuing humility (not humiliation – that’s a different thing entirely)
Empowerment
We want to pour power into you. And why not? You are God’s gift to the world after all. It is our opinion that God has given you gifts and opportunities to love people and make the world a better place. But you’re going to need some help. You’ll need coaches and cheerleaders; friends and support; to make this happen. That is where we step in, we want to help you fulfill your passion and potential in ministry.
Space
We create space, not programs. In a world overflowing with tasks, commitments, and endless doing, we recognize the need for something different—a chance to simply be. Life can feel like a constant rush, leaving little room for stillness, reflection, or restoration. That’s why we’re not here to add more to your to-do list or overwhelm you with activities.
Instead, we intentionally design spaces where your soul can breathe. Whether you need a moment to sit quietly, cry, laugh, doubt, learn, worship, or simply rest—we’re here for that. These spaces are sanctuaries for your heart, mind, and spirit, with a God who loves you and smiles when he thinks about you.
