These are the building blocks of Resonate

4 Distinctives of Resonate

We love these so much, that we turned these into stickers. Why? Because these are things that make us tick. These are the fingerprints that we want to leave in our community and the lives we touch.

We Take Love Seriously
We Take Love Seriously

Something we noticed about Jesus is that we talked a lot about love. Then we looked at our own lives and realized the impact that love, especially God’s love, has. Everything we do is about helping you experience love and give love – so that you can have a love based life.

Whole is the Goal
Whole is the Goal

We want you to live a whole life. Something the Bible calls shalom. Jesus had it and we can, too. Shalom is the Hebrew word for ‘peace,’ but it’s a special kind of peace – the type that comes from fullness, harmony, and connection. Things like sin, worry, fear, loneliness, and anger are the opposite of shalom. They are the result of  brokenness, shame, secrets, and isolation. We believe that Jesus is healing all that, to bring us closer to him and deeper into being whole.

Doubt is the Doorway to Faith
Doubt is the Doorway to Faith

Everybody has doubts and this is a good thing. Even though doubting can be uncomfortable and even painful – it’s part of life and it is part of faith. Throughout the Bible, we see person after person having their doubts and misgivings about this God who was calling out to them. But here is the great part – these doubts, like ours, are opportunities for faith to grow, expand and evolve. Here at Resonate we make room for your doubts. We even jump into doubt with you. Not to rescue you, but to join you on your faith journey. So dust off those questions, read people who challenge your beliefs and join a church that helping each other live a life without all the answers. Faith isn’t seeing, it’s confidence in the darkness. 2 Cor. 5:7

Build Shalom in Your Life and in Those Around You
Build Shalom in Your Life and in Those Around You

Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace. But it doesn’t mean calm and tranquil. Rather, Shalom is about fullness and flourishing. When life feels like it is at its best. We’ve all had those moments. They are the whispers of heaven and byproduct of a right relationship with our Creator. Shalom is the business of heaven. As Jesus said in Matthew 5, ‘blessed are the shalom-makers, because they are like God’.

Building shalom is both our privilege and duty. At Resonate, we want to help you bring about shalom in your own life and the world around you- your family, your workplace, and even your world. You can do it; we can help.
