Prayer for the day:
I pray that I will find God in my mess, my imperfections, my failures, and shortcomings.
Background:
Jesus is the Word, greek logos. For the Greeks, the divine logos was the creating power and purpose for the whole universe. John picks up this concept to describe how God, in all his majesty poured himself into humanity. Joining not only creation, but our mess as well.
